What do I have FAITH for now?
Monologue or Dialogue with God, which one are you?
The hard thing about faith is when God’s Sovereign will override your will and what you want to happen.
Here I am, believing God by faith for z, y, and z, but here comes God’s Sovereign will, which override what I had in mind.
I think that’s what scares most people; you believe for something, only to have God change it.
For example, I believe God for an apple🍎only to have God change it to a🍌banana.
Like the one time, when I prayed for my daddy to live and he ended up dying anyway.
…very frustrating, can you relate!
“Why,” I cried. But I prayed. “You were supposed to answer my prayer; make it happen for me.”
My good people, I know how you feel. I’ve been there too. I empathize with you.
There are so many examples, like you prayed to get into Harvard only to end up at Princeton University.
Ain’t nobody trying to go to Princeton; the plan throughout high school was Harvard. How very disappointing.
There’s nothing wrong with Princeton; I prayed for Harvard, and that’s all. And I expected to get in.
I studied hard, got a 4.0 G.P.A, my efforts, my way, etc.
And God comes along and changes the plan; very frustrating! Don’t you think so?
All that hard work for nothing. I didn’t get to say, “I did it!”
God changing the plan means I have to give Him glory for making it happen for me.
Because only He can make it happen for you. Because you know that if it weren’t for the Lord who was on your side, you would have never gotten x, y, and z.
But I wanted to say “I did it.”
Question: What are some things that you prayed about, only to have a different result?
What’s the use? I give up!!! Why believe God for what I want if He’s going to change it…or override my will? Right!
God’s Sovereign will mean that He’s going with His plan instead of yours.
God can see👀 10+ years into the future. And He knows that if He answered this prayer, the outcome will have an effect on you.
A Calculated decision goes into to every prayer.
If I answer this prayer, it will affect this outcome, which will affect that outcome ,and so on and so forth.
God wants the best outcome for you.
There are 8 billion people on the planet, and God needs to know which decision gets you the right results without less pain.
Example: If she gets involved with that guy, will he create peace and joy in her life or cause pain? Hmm!
Let’s stop and thank God that He did not answer that particular prayer. Praise God👏🙌👏
Imagine being God and watching, people trying to get their own way, only to end up in pain.
“If only you had trusted Me to find the best outcome, with less pain for you,” says God.
It doesn’t mean no; it just means a change of plans. That’s all! That is why the key is to remain flexible.
Staying flexible is hard to do, because I wanted things to work out exactly as I prayed it.
I’d like to encourage you to believe God anyway Because with His Sovereign will in play, it means that He’s directing the bicycle🚲as you go.
So, go ahead; You start riding🚲pedaling; In other words, you start praying and exercising your faith in God for something.
And God will direct your steps or pedaling. The Bible says that a man’s heart plans his way, but God directs his steps; Proverbs 16:9.
So, don’t get discouraged; keep 🚲pedaling. You’re doing it! Hip! Hip! Hooray👍!!!
Now back to my “faith request”🙏
At this age, what do I have faith for?
Now that doubting is out of the way, what do I have faith for?
If I was being honest, what do I really have faith for?
We all have been given a measure of faith; Romans 12:3.
For example, at…
Age 21, I had faith that I would graduate🎓from college and meet a nice boyfriend.
At age 35, I had faith for a career, making💰120k a year, starting a small business, married with children 2.1 kids, buying a house, building a home, and serving in the ministry of the Lord.
At age 48, I had faith that I would get the kids off to college and start preparing for my empty🪹🪺🪹nest.
Depending on your age, we all have or had a dream of some kind and some kind of faith in it.
It’s not if we or I don’t have faith…
What faith do you have for now at this age or this season of your life?
Understand what I’m saying; I don’t need to have faith for the stuff I needed in my 20s, 30s, and 40s.
I don’t need those things anymore.
What I need now is faith for this season of my life.
Question: What is it that I need and want in this season of my life?
And will I trust God with the outcome, according to Philippians 4:19.
You see, it’s not that we don’t have faith. The key is to ask yourself some questions.
Like, what do I really have faith for now?
Small business or mom-pop store or big business?
1 employee or 500 employees?
Downsize or upside my🏡?
Five million by or 7 thousand by???
It’s the measure of faith that you have; that we all have, that you’re using; that we’re all using.
Plus, it cuts✂️out the stress😩of trying to keep up with the Kardashians. Smile!
If I’m being honest with you, I would say that in this season of my life.
I don’t need a
1. House🏡
2. Condo🏘
3. Big Mega business or big Mega ministry.
4. I don’t know if I’ll ever get married again; I don’t have faith in marriage and biological kids.
But what I do have faith in is;
A rocking🪑chair
A lazy boy or couch
A sleep😴number🛌bed
A one-bedroom apartment, so I can play bingo with my friends.
A cup of☕️tea, my Bible, a note📝✍️pad, and faith for my spiritual children to grow in God.
And my latter days; Lord, let it be; let my latter days be much better than my former days; let be Laud or Lord. Job 8:7 expresses a hope that one’s later years in life will be significantly more fulfilling and prosperous than one’s earlier days.
What I’m trying to show you is what I have faith for now.
Quit comparing your faith to someone else’s faith and focus on what you really need faith for now.
If you’re trying to have faith like other people, it won’t work. You’ll just end up feeling very😠frustrated.
That’s why you have to be “honest with yourself and with Jesus when it comes to your faith.
So, I ask again, what do you really have faith for?
Here’s another faith question: If it pans out and if it doesn’t pan out, then what?
Meaning, if it pans out or works out, can you handle the fame and fortune, that your faith works, that God answered your prayers?
And if it doesn’t pan out. Meaning it didn’t work out; God did “not answer your prayers. Can you go back to reality, hoping again, praying again, etc?
Truth is, we don’t know, that’s why it’s called a “faith test. Will you continue to believe Even if song by MercyMe.
Because most times, I’m like, “I’m done, I didn’t get what I wanted. I’m never talking to you again, God. You didn’t answer my prayers,” I said.
Then weeks and years go by; we’re at a standoff. I know God is there, but I’m not acknowledging Him because I’m still angry😡at God for not answering my prayers. You let my daddy die!
Did I forgive God?
He’s not a genie in a bottle!
“Like gimme, gimme, my name is Jimmy, gimme what I want or else I walk,” I said.
He’s a God who has feelings too.
This is not a monologue or one-sided conversation where I do all the talking.
This is a dialogue, a conversation between two people or you and God.
Question: Monologue or Dialogue with God, which one are you?
We must respect the fact that God knows what’s best for us. His opinion, or what He thinks of us, is more important than our own thoughts; Isaiah 55:8-9.
He only wants what’s best for His child. Doesn’t that sound like a parent to you?
That’s why it’s called faith in God;
Or faith in someone like God;
Because FATHER GOD knows best; because His Sovereign will might be the👌best outcome for you.
I’m praying for you and with you always…smile😊
Welcome, I'm Karen!
Hello friend! Writing has been my passion since I was nine. Winning my first writing contest at that young age inspired me to keep improving my skills. Fast forward to when I was 22 years old when I experienced a profound spiritual awakening that led me to become a devout Christian. From that point on, I knew that I wanted to use my writing abilities to spread the word of God and positively impact the world.
- Over the past 30 years, I have poured myself into my writing, producing a wide range of content that spans from letters to prisoners and newsletters to newspaper articles, books, and social media posts.
- For the past four years, I have even been contributing to the Churchome App, sharing my thoughts, insights, and experiences with the wider Christian community.
- I am particularly proud of my latest books, "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" and "It's Just Good Housekeeping."
- "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" is about loving God, loving people, and serving people.
- "It's Just Good Housekeeping." is about finding an attractive way to encourage everyone to read their Bible because reading the Bible has an impact on keeping our lives clean and pure.
These books are a testament to my love of writing, as well as my commitment to using that writing to inspire, inform, and entertain people from all walks of life.
