It Has to be Consensual

It Has to be Consensual…

It Has to be Consensual…
If something is consensual, all parties are in agreement that they approve of it. You and your neighbor could have a consensual agreement to share the cost of putting up a fence between your houses. Consensual is related to the English words consensus and consent. It has to be Consensual, because you both have to agree to talk to each other.
A family that prays together stays together.
👎No one can force you to connect. You either want to or you don’t. It’s not a one-sided relationship. It’s not forced; it’s consensual.
I stand at the door and knock, says Jesus; Revelation 3:20.
You either want to let me in or you don’t. I cannot make you PRAY WITH ME.
Could you not watch with me one hour, asked Jesus; Matthew 26:40-45.
That’s why the Bible talks about Matthew 7: 21-23.
I never knew you, says Jesus.
Because you never spent time with me.
Yes, you did all these wonderful stuff in My name; like running the organization and building👷‍♂️big…
But you never set your work aside to come spend time with Me. Therefore, I never knew you.
That’s why, I said come to Me; Matthew 11:28-30.

If you want to be blessed🙌, the place that you must be is at the feet of the almighty.

It’s hard, I get it. Finding the time to pray. Most days, I have to blot out time on my🗓calendar to pray.
For example, like every day at such and such of time, I’m going to pray. Whether it be for 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 25 minutes or 45 minutes to 1 hour. I’m going to make time to pray. I’m going to do it; no one makes me…It’s My Will Song by DC Talk.
Why? It’s not an obligation or ritual, religious activity, programmed into my brain, a must-do.
It’s an opportunity to spend time with my DADDY.
My daddy God! Like a Parent-Child relationship. I spend time with my Daddy God because I want to.
Because, some days I need Him to be my Wonderful Counselor…I have to let Him know how my day went…blah blah blah, what had happened was… processing💬
And I need Him to LOVE😶‍🌫️🥰on me too.
Other days, I need Him to be my…
High Priest…forgive me, Father, for I have sin. That which I don’t want to do I do; oh, wretched man that I am, who can deliver me; Romans 7:15-25.
He’s the only one who makes me feel clean; create in me a clean heart; Psalms 51:10-19.
My Savior! I need Him to come get me out of a Jam; make my feet like Hinds feet; Psalms 18:33.
Come be my Superhero and get me outta here, please!
My Helper! You see, I’m struggling down here on planet Earth. #The struggle is real, y’all! I need you Holy Spirit to be my Helper; Romans 8:26-27.
I also need Him to be…names of God!
Adonai: Lord/Master. See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm.
Elohim: Creator God.
El Elyon: Most High God.
El Olam: The Everlasting God.
El Shaddai: God Almighty.
Immanuel: God with us.
Jehovah Jireh: The Lord our Provider.
Jehovah Mekoddishkem: The Lord who Sanctifies you.
Jehovah-Nissi (The Lord My Banner)
El-HaNe’eman (The God Who Is Faithful)
El Sela (God My Rock)
El Shaddai (The All-Sufficient One)
Jehovah-Rapha (The Lord Who Heals)
Jehovah-Jireh (The Lord Who Provides)
Elohim, Adonai, El Roi, El Shaddai, Jehovah Jireh, Yahweh, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom, Yahweh Tsuri, Yahweh Tsebaoth, and Yahweh Rohi.
Here’s a TRANSCRIPT of our conversation and time spent together.
I praise you, Father God! I worship you. Thank you for drawing me close to you.
Thank you for this, thank you for that…
Then I wait…listening to hear what He will say to me.
I continued by saying, thank you for your presence, touch.
Thank you for touching my head with your Anointed hands.
I wait again to see what He’s going to say. I don’t hear anything.
But I FEEL His Touch. I feel His peace.
Thank you again I say for food, housing, clothing, providing, protecting me; for land, animals, vegetation, people and everything else.
I wait again to see what He’s going to say.
This time, He gives me an💡idea. My mind races, how will I bring this idea from the spirit realm to the natural realm?
But before I could begin to feel overwhelmed, the Holy Spirit began to give me step-by-step instructions.
Thank you again, Father God, for providing and loving on me. I have to go to work now and make this money💰bills to pay, know what I mean! We talk later!
This helps me a lot because it allows me to take a break from people…to go off alone to a quiet place to spend time with my Daddy God.
No clutter, but clarity comes when I connect with my Daddy God.
Even Jesus went off alone to pray to His Father in Heaven; Luke 5:16, Mark 1:35, and Luke 6:12.
Don’t focus so much on “how long” you’ve been praying and trying to hear from God. Focus more on just “being together”. You know spending time together. When He’s ready to talk, He’ll talk to you…could be the next day; the middle of the night, or on your way home from work; He chooses when He wants to speak; you stay ready to receive. Got it! Yes Sir! Yes Ma’am! Smile🫠
That’s why it has to be Consensual. You want it and He wants it too. No manipulation.
Not a one-sided conversation. God doing all the talking and you “saying nothing.
I’m trying to encourage you to TALK BACK to your Daddy God…connect with Him on the daily. Pray! OKkkkay!!!Smile😊
Here are some examples of things to “talk to God about” in the quiet place or alone with Him.
When you can’t hear God?
It’s not why you are not speaking to me, God, or where are you, God?
Sometimes, like a parent-child relationship, God is allowing His toddler👶to take some faith steps. And like Peter, if you take some faith steps and then feel overwhelmed. God is there to catch you; Matthew 14:22-33.

Welcome, I'm Karen!
Hello friend! Writing has been my passion since I was nine. Winning my first writing contest at that young age inspired me to keep improving my skills. Fast forward to when I was 22 years old when I experienced a profound spiritual awakening that led me to become a devout Christian. From that point on, I knew that I wanted to use my writing abilities to spread the word of God and positively impact the world.

  • Over the past 30 years, I have poured myself into my writing, producing a wide range of content that spans from letters to prisoners and newsletters to newspaper articles, books, and social media posts.
  • For the past four years, I have even been contributing to the Churchome App, sharing my thoughts, insights, and experiences with the wider Christian community.
  • I am particularly proud of my latest books, "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" and "It's Just Good Housekeeping."
  • "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" is about loving God, loving people, and serving people.
  • "It's Just Good Housekeeping." is about finding an attractive way to encourage everyone to read their Bible because reading the Bible has an impact on keeping our lives clean and pure.

These books are a testament to my love of writing, as well as my commitment to using that writing to inspire, inform, and entertain people from all walks of life.
