I Survived the Bomb Cyclone🌀

I Survived the Bomb Cyclone🌀on 11/19/24 in Issaquah, WA.
On my way, home from work, the wind kicked up to 77 mph.
The wind almost knocked me to the ground.
So, I pretended to be Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. I lifted my walking stick, and I spoke to the wind.
“Thus, sayeth the Lord God of the heavens and the earth, you shall not pass.” Smile!
“Peace be still, go from near me; I’m an old lady now, I ain’t got time for all this drama; I said to the wind.”
“You shall not pass, is what Gandalf said in Lord of the Ring. I was only trying to be like my hero, Gandalf,” smile!
“Save me, Jesus,” I said under my breath. And He did!
Because on my way home, the metro🚍 bus was shaking, rocking back and forth. I prayed silently under my breath. “Please give the bus driver wisdom”🙏I prayed to know what to do to get us out of this mess. I made it home safely, thank God!
I came to work on 11/21/24, and my job site was a mess. I couldn’t make it to work on 11/20/24 because I heard on the news that a tree fell on another metro bus, power lines were down, road blocks by fallen trees, two people died when a tree🌳fell on their house, blackout everywhere, no heat, etc.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you, Jesus, for saving me.
Sing: Oh no! Not i… I will survive.
You’re good👍to me, sir! Happy Thanksgiving😊Jesus!
How I’m feeling now is exhausted but at peace. Because I had to “say what the Bible says about my mental health or anxiety, which is “be anxious for nothing, but with prayer; Philippians 4:6.
In other words, I had to keep my emotions and my mind right through this whole ordeal or I would have been “scared stiff. Because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind; 2 Timothy 1:7.
Thank you again, Jesus, for saving me.

Welcome, I'm Karen!
Hello friend! Writing has been my passion since I was nine. Winning my first writing contest at that young age inspired me to keep improving my skills. Fast forward to when I was 22 years old when I experienced a profound spiritual awakening that led me to become a devout Christian. From that point on, I knew that I wanted to use my writing abilities to spread the word of God and positively impact the world.

  • Over the past 30 years, I have poured myself into my writing, producing a wide range of content that spans from letters to prisoners and newsletters to newspaper articles, books, and social media posts.
  • For the past four years, I have even been contributing to the Churchome App, sharing my thoughts, insights, and experiences with the wider Christian community.
  • I am particularly proud of my latest books, "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" and "It's Just Good Housekeeping."
  • "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" is about loving God, loving people, and serving people.
  • "It's Just Good Housekeeping." is about finding an attractive way to encourage everyone to read their Bible because reading the Bible has an impact on keeping our lives clean and pure.

These books are a testament to my love of writing, as well as my commitment to using that writing to inspire, inform, and entertain people from all walks of life.
