February Blog – It’s the Vulcan Way and Spartans

1. IT’S THE VULCAN WAY

THIS IS NOT A BIBLE STUDY, but an exercise in “mental health training.

So many “negative things affect our mental health. I find that the bible is good for our mental health; such as praying, praising God, reading our Bible, etc.

Use science to cope with your mental health, but if I may; I would like you to try to use theBible as a resource for your mental health.

We can’t just talk about it and write books on this subject; we’re got start training.

… wax on-wax off; we’re training now… scenes from the Karate Kid movie.

It’s the Vulcanway! Mind-Meld !!!

God’s mind to your mind; His thoughts are higher than your thoughts; Isaiah 55:8-9. His thoughts for your thoughts !!!

The pastor’s job is to be a “public figure, study the Bible with you, preach, teach, and shepherd you and love you. God ordained them to do that. I’m simply the living epistle that walksalongside “with the congregation.

I wanted to be the one to train you or speak to you about how to use the Bible to cope with your mental health. But I do not have the energy for that. And I’m not anointed to speak, but to writebe the “living epistle. Plus, I do not like to be seen. I want the focus to be on the “anointed syndicated blog post.

I would like to encourage everyone to start a “mental health mentor group.

1. Read

2. Rehearse

3. Remind

4. Rhythm

5. Pray

6. Question

“ReadBible,

“Rehearse what you read, and when you forget to say what the Bible says about your situation, preach it to yourself or “Remind yourself, praise and worship or “Rhythm-praise party,

“Pray about everything and ask

“Questions if you need advice.

Why? The Holy Spirit “revealed to me that Church has become just another “college class. We listen to the “professor or pastor. Some of us take notes, but we do not “apply it to our mental health. In the Bible, it’s called, having a form of godliness but denying the power. Therefore, 2 Timothy 3:5-7.

True, we can discuss and debate in groups. But that’s not the same as rehearsing and reminding. Rehearsing has a way of bypassing “book knowledge and somehow become the “core belief in your heart. You take it to heart; not just something you read; but “you become the “book everyone wants to read; or the “living epistle; 2 Corinthians 3:2-3.

In your group, “you will teach your people do the rehearsing and reminding, and the mentor will simply be there as an encourager to encourage them to keep “applying… or keep doing it.

Instead of the leader standing upfront like a pastor preaching it to them; I want your group members to take turns standing upfront and preach it or read the bible to themselves.

In order words, making room for young people to grow. You won’t “grow if you’re not “rehearsing. We’re used to customer service, and somebody else cater to us; do the preaching. But I come with the Breaking News !!!

The Manna has ceased; Joshua 5:11-12.

No more catering service or somebody else does the preaching. You’re going to have to read your Bible and preach it to yourself. No manna or Rhema word flowing from heaven. That’s how I learnt how to cook my fancy feast “bible messages by preaching God’s word to myself. I had to learn to do my own cooking, and you will too.

But when it’s your turn to “feed the flock, it’ll grow you up real fast. Because now you have become the “parent feeding the “kids.

Anyway, I don’t know what’s coming in this “decade or century. I’m trying to prepare you for any “hardship” that’s coming your way.

I’m trying to help you feel EMPOWERED, be ready for whatever comes; you’ll know how to preach it to yourself, encourage yourself, cope with your mental health, etc.

I’m “passing along something that help me grow … my legacy to you.

I just wanted to be a helper or “this child’s mama/a beginner’s guide… just a mother trying to get my kids ready for the big world and teaching them “how to take care of their mental health.

Charity begins at church@home groups.

As a mother of nations, I want to see my children healed, healthy, and whole. That’s all I am… an “early start program… for your mental health.

From here, you can “leapfrog yourself into Bible College to learn and study the Greek, Hebrew, and continuation with your “Bible Training and Growth Tract.

Yes! You’re no longer a sinner, but now a Christian belonging, believing and becoming; serving God, and “on your way to Bible College in preparation for full-time ministry.

But you “forgot to take care of your mental health. That’s where I wanted to come IN- to train you.

As I said before, I wanted to be the beginner’s guide, or this child’s mama, aka The Adulting Series/The Training Section, that would’ve been here to help you with your mental health, but I lack the energy to do so.

YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO LEARN TO TRAIN YOURSELF NOW !!!

That’s all I was trying to do for you… help you become the best version of yourself and teach you how to cope with your mental health “before you head into the big world and full-time ministry.

HOW TO USE BIBLE TO COPE WITH MENTAL HEALTH

1. Read Bible: Take turns reading Bible out loud. And listen to Audio Bible also; Joshua 1:8.

2. Rehearse: Read the Bible again; memorize it, think about it, mediate; Joshua 1:8.

3. Remind: How are you feeling today? Example; Worried about money? Let’s say what the Bible says about your emotions and money according to Philippians 4:19, etc. Let’s remind ourselves that until we believe it, have peace and confidence that God will provide.

4. Pray: What are you thinking about today? Let’s pray about it. Let’s talk to the wonderful counselor; let’s seek therapy from the Holy Spirit and His wise counsel.

Let’s also talk to the High Priest about what we did wrong and ask His forgiveness… come boldly to the throne of grace; Hebrews 4:16.

5. Rhythm: Worship and praise Him! Make joyful noise! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord; Psalms 150.

6. Questions: If you need godly advice, ask the body of Christ… questions. There’s 2.7 billion Christians in the world today or living legacies. Somebody in the body of Christ knows something. Let’s get them to open up; Befriend them, find out what they know. There’re also resources such as books, videos, preaching, teaching messages, etc.

Even if it takes years, keep rehearsing and reminding yourself that one day, you’ll be surprised by your growth and wisdom that you share with others.

Love youmuch… know that I’m always praying for you!

2. SPARTAN…

Spartan or Intercessory Prayer Warriors !!!

… assume yourprayerful position.

Ai-battle in the future; Joshua 7-8.

Now start praying fervently; James 5:16.

… cause we are a ‘city on our knees ‘song” by TobyMac.

Karen Hyles
Welcome, I'm Karen!
Hello friend! Writing has been my passion since I was nine. Winning my first writing contest at that young age inspired me to keep improving my skills. Fast forward to when I was 22 years old when I experienced a profound spiritual awakening that led me to become a devout Christian. From that point on, I knew that I wanted to use my writing abilities to spread the word of God and positively impact the world.

  • Over the past 30 years, I have poured myself into my writing, producing a wide range of content that spans from letters to prisoners and newsletters to newspaper articles, books, and social media posts.
  • For the past four years, I have even been contributing to the Churchome App, sharing my thoughts, insights, and experiences with the wider Christian community.
  • I am particularly proud of my latest books, "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" and "It's Just Good Housekeeping."
  • "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" is about loving God, loving people, and serving people.
  • "It's Just Good Housekeeping." is about finding an attractive way to encourage everyone to read their Bible because reading the Bible has an impact on keeping our lives clean and pure.

These books are a testament to my love of writing, as well as my commitment to using that writing to inspire, inform, and entertain people from all walks of life.
