February Blog – Hurry Up and Get Here

1. HURRY UP AND GET HERE
… like the song says I don’t care how you get here, get here if you can… Get Here “song” by Oleta Adams. By the way, Happy ValentinesDay !!!
Anyway, back to my blog. I would hate to see you go through so much in the wilderness of your life and “never make it into your promise land. It’s true what they say! The land does floweth with milk and honey; Exodus 33:3.
Look at what obedience gets you; like the commercial says; I’m shopping like a billionaire, Temu !!! Smile
… no paycheck to paycheck living, but “more abundantly medley(Wentworth Ave Mix/Visualizer)”song” by Ricky Dillard.
So, hurry up and get here; because I want you to be blessed too. It’s no fun eating alone; food tastes better when we share it. Don’t you agree?

2. IT’S ALL PENINNAH’S FAULT
To continue with my blog; it’s all Peninnah’s fault; 1 Samuel 1:1-28… She the one provoked me!!!
I would have never been in pursuit of the promise-land. But Peninnah “provoked me. If only she had kept her big mouth shut. But she kept ontalking about all thesebabies, she was having. So, I became jealous of her. Where was my baby or promise-land, my blessing? Right! I tried my best to behappy for her. After all, I didn’t want to be accused of being a hater.
But the frustration in me was building to a fever pitch. And that’s when I knew that God was using Peninnah to encourage me to believe for my promise-land or blessing also.
I was okay with being normal, ordinary. I wasn’t asking to be great or make a difference, have an impact. It’s all Peninnah’s fault, she provoked me to greatness. The Peninnah’s in “my life at the time represented “Mega Church Pastors… them the ones that told me that God was able to do x-y and z. So naturally I fell for the challenge. I believe them. Why shouldn’t I believe? God did it for them, I’m certain He can do it for me too. So, in frustration I asked Father God a question.
“Why did you send Peninnah to provoked me? I was content? “Because she is there to awaken purpose and passion in you; to pursue your God given destiny; said Father God. Don’t hate on Peninnah, I sent her, says Father God. You’re welcome, says Father God !!!
Same goes for you… ask yourself a question. Who are the Peninnah in my life? And what areas in my life, is she provoking? Once you discover what area she’s provoking, go ahead and believe God for a miracle in that area of your life.

3. WHEN GOD TAKES A NAP, YOU TAKE A NAP TOO.
Before I begin, thank you Father God for “covering my “natural with your “super. That’s why it’s super-natural. You’re covering my natural or “body with your super or “presence. Nothing going on in the natural; just this filthy, dirty, lump of flesh and yet You seem to want to cover it with your Spirit. I don’t understand why, but thank you. I guess that’s what it means to be a parent. Filthy or clean, that’s my child, says Father God. I am a Parent. You are my child. I guess I’m beginning to understand that God is a parent. He covers me because He loves me. I don’t know where I would be without you, my Father God; so, thank you again for being my supernatural support.

Anyway, when God takes a nap, you take a nap too. Why? Because He’s trying to give you a break for now. Don’t worry if He’s not speaking.
Because when He does, you’ll be looking to record something or write something down. Your mouth be talking really fast and your fingers trying to write as fast as it can to capture what God is saying. It’s like uploading and downloading; receiving in the spirit, and then trying to bring it into the natural.
So, when God takes a nap, you take a nap too.
On the flip side, if you’re in rebellion against God, I would be very concerned if I were you. Silent treatment means that you’re in trouble. God is giving you a long rope… which means lots of mercy and grace; He’s being very long suffering with you “before… well, you know what comes next… conviction by the Holy Spirit; John 16:5-15.
Anyways, I always like to create a “sandwich” meaning, I’ll tell you the good news first, then bad news, then close out with good news.
So back to the good news! For those of you that are serving God and listening for His voice. God is not mad at you; He’s just taking a nap or giving you a break. So, when God takes a nap, you take a nap too. Use your nap time wisely, get some rest, meaning no serving right now. Because when God starts talking…

4. THE OBSERVATION TEST
I wanted to do a scientific experiment to see if I was alert  as to when God was speaking to me. Exactly when does God speak to you. Pay attention throughout the day. Is it after dinner or before breakfast? After worship or during worship?
As I tracked my own measurements. I noticed that He speaks to me; different hours of the day and during worship. My brain lights up, when He begins to speak. The third eye comes into focus and my six-6-sense kicks into gear. I begin to sense Jesus and His greasy, anointed oily fingers touching my head. And then the conversation begins.
Jesus starts talking and the next thing I know, I begin my note-taking. I’m writing faster and faster, trying to catch every word that falls from His mouth and before His presence leaves me for a time and season. Is as if He’s saying, we’ll talk again soon, maybe later or tomorrow. For now, let your brain and fingers rest, I’m ma give you a break for now, He says. Wow is right! I get to interview God! What a show! You have to had been there!
I hear you! How do I join and get “in on the conversation with Jesus, you asked. Answer: Praise your way “in, that’s your “back stage pass” or “green room pass”; your extra special time with Jesus.
And as you do, Jesus will talk to you too. Why? Because He inhabits the praises of His people; Psalms 22:3. He shows up when you praise Him. Why? Because where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them; Matthew 18:20. My sheep hears my voice; John 10:27-28.
like p. Judah Smith @Churchome always says, when you know you know… His voice!!!

Thank you!

Karen Hyles
Welcome, I'm Karen!
Hello friend! Writing has been my passion since I was nine. Winning my first writing contest at that young age inspired me to keep improving my skills. Fast forward to when I was 22 years old when I experienced a profound spiritual awakening that led me to become a devout Christian. From that point on, I knew that I wanted to use my writing abilities to spread the word of God and positively impact the world.

  • Over the past 30 years, I have poured myself into my writing, producing a wide range of content that spans from letters to prisoners and newsletters to newspaper articles, books, and social media posts.
  • For the past four years, I have even been contributing to the Churchome App, sharing my thoughts, insights, and experiences with the wider Christian community.
  • I am particularly proud of my latest books, "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" and "It's Just Good Housekeeping."
  • "Let's Make Love, Then Cook. It's Not What You Think" is about loving God, loving people, and serving people.
  • "It's Just Good Housekeeping." is about finding an attractive way to encourage everyone to read their Bible because reading the Bible has an impact on keeping our lives clean and pure.

These books are a testament to my love of writing, as well as my commitment to using that writing to inspire, inform, and entertain people from all walks of life.
