A Conversation About Anger
I want you to ask yourself some questions about issues with anger…
What kind of anger is it? Is it good or bad anger? Do you have episodes of implosion, depression or explosion, rage. Ex: I’m angry because the predator is molesting a little child or Am I angry because I like using my anger to control people and make them feel intimidated? Why are you angry? Who are you angry with? What are you angry about? Where and when do you get angry? Because when a man gets angry, he’s fixing on starting a private war. He’s not coming after 1 person, but the entire village, to burn it to the ground. He plans for years, and then, at the right time, he executes his plans: mass shootings.
An example of good anger is Jesus using His anger to set things right: my house shall be called a house of prayer, Matthew 21:13.
James 1:19; Ephesians 4:26 is a good place to start. Follow up with help from the Holy Spirit.
Ex: Help me to pray, Holy Spirit, and talk to God about my angry emotions.
For example, LORD, I’M ANGRY,😠with so and so, or that I can’t provide for my family or that life is hard, or I’m frustrated that the world has changed, I want to pass blame, I feel helpless to protect my family, help me forgive myself and them and help me receive your forgiveness. Thank you again for peace of mind because I got it off my chest.
