If I came to Preach…cont’d
I forgot to add…
I wanted to explain to the young people, what I meant, by staying close to God, close to His word, close to the body of Christ.
In case, we get separated in the MAYHEM…in case I forget to charge my phone ☎️…in case I forgot to pay the phone bill, etc. Ya’ll know, I’m getting older, in case I can’t remember where I…Smile!
1. Staying close to God means, let God’s love be your “Bullet Proof “song” by Citizen Way.
His love is your security blanket or protection.
Say this with me: We thank you Father God, for protecting us with your love; Psalms 91.
2. Staying close to His word/Bible means… Question: Do you ever feel “filthy from all the things you “heard or saw all day?
Sometimes, I feel filthy after hearing the F word while scrolling through social media. Such a filthy word!
But I learnt that the word of God “washes me; Ephesians 5:25-26. The word of God washes all that filth you heard or saw. And before long, you find yourself thinking about “whatsoever things are pure; Philippians 4:8. Nothing, like feeling clean on the “inside…heart and mind. No soap can get there, but the word of God.
3. Staying close to the body of Christ means that you’re not alone. No man is an island. You’re not the only “fellow in the “ship.
That’s why it’s called fellowship, belonging. You belong. You are loved. You are with like-minded people. Both of you love God and want to follow Jesus; Philippians 2:2-4; Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8; Romans 15:13. God places solitaire in👪family; Psalms 68:6.
I’m praying for you always; John 17:21-23.
Stay close…
P.S.: One more thing.
Staying close is not easy. You have to be INTENTIONAL about staying close to God, His word and His people.
Whether you hear Him(voice) or not, stay close.
…in case I can’t come to the phone right now; YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO…stay close.
Stay close, Saints or “Santo “song” by Sherwin Gardner.
Love you, bye👋😘
