The Joshua anointing and choose your giant
1. THE JOSHUA ANOINTING
Ya'll ready! Move 'em out! Head 'em up! Rollin! Rollin! Rollin! Rawhide!
We're headed to the promise-land.
Question: What season does God have you in? Are you in the season of possessing real estate or dirt?
In this season of your life...
We're not talking about possessing "real estate, but "you or your dirt; and God formed man out of the "dust of the ground; Genesis 2:1-7.
You see in the old testament, the children of Israel led by Joshua; was anointed to help the children of Israel possess their promise-land or real estate. But in today's world, the Joshua anointing is here to help the children of God possess their "dirt or you; becoming who God called you to be.
Before we go any further, the anointing on my life is here to help you or empowered you to grow as a person. I'm not anointed to help you get real estate. We already have "mega church buildings and acres and acres of land. And we've grown as a business or ministry. But we're yet to grow as a person.
Moses' job was to get you "out of Egypt and "through the wilderness.
Out of Egypt represents "land of sin and the wilderness represents "fleshly carnal indecisive, luke warm Christianity and the struggle with obedience to God. It is here we receive the gift of forgiveness after committing a sin. It is also in the wilderness that we learn to hear or discern God's voice and trust His leadership. Wilderness is also a place where we learnt "how to adult or the Adulting Series/The Training Section. We also learn applied theology; how to say what God's word says about our circumstances and situations.
But the Promise-land represents obedience to God. Enter in "song by Wes Morgan. Enter in, my friends! It's time to cross the River Jordan. And possess your promise.
Question: What has God promise you?
For example, God promised Abraham that He would give him a son; Genesis 15-18.
God promised the children of Israel that He would bring them out of Eqpyt to the promise-land; Genesis 15:18; Joshua 1:4.
God promise Mary that she would give birth to a son and His name shall be called Jesus; Matthew 1:21.
So I asked again. What did God promised you? Did He promise you real estate or healing for your dirt, your body? And are you taking possession of it?
And this time, children of God, let's not return with a bad report; Let's not repeat last generation mistakes; that generation died in the wilderness of disbelief by saying that they weren't able; we were like grass hoppers in their sight; Numbers 13:33.
THIS TIME, let's say it with confidence. "With God helping us, God is able to do just what He said He would do... He's Able "song" by Deitrick Haddon.
All I'm saying, is that the wilderness or the Adulting Series/The Training Section should have "prepared us for the "promise of a lifetime.
No doubting this time, but possessing; Psalms 50:15; James 1:6-8.
Now how do you know when you are operating in the Joshua anointing? Answer: When you have chosen to cross over the Jordan River in your life; you've dealt with your giant; you've divided the land; and the land has rested or simply put; you've done what God told you to do.
And indeed the opposite is true. How do you know when you're "not operating in the Joshua anointing? Answer: when giving a bad report is more important than giving positive feedback. For example, we're not able to vs. we can do this; when you're afraid to face your giant; and you're afraid to deal with the issues in your land; like when the children of Israel refused to drive out the Canaanites; Judges 1:28. If you are doing these things, then you know for a certain that you are not operating in the Joshua anointing.
Having the Joshua anointing on your life means that you are doing your best to face your fears by being strong and very courageous; Joshua 1:9. The Joshua anointing "doesn't cowered or run but faces problems, issues, habits, break repeated patterns, deals with illegal land grabs, behavior, etc. All throughout the book of Joshua, the land rested from... after Joshua found the courage to face whatever came his way... leaving a legacy for the next generation to "finish your assignment or whatever you were asked to do for God.
2. CHOOSE YOUR GIANT
Pick one! Mental health giant; Gun violence giant; Fentayl and drug abuse giant; Cancer giant, debt ceiling giant, Education giant, Cancel culture giant, etc.
Yes, that's right! It will make you famous, if you take them down !!! Solve the riddle in your lifetime. What can be done to stop these giants?
Question: Did Goliath pick David or did David pick Goliath? Because David defeated Goliath, his family "didn't have to pay taxes and he got the girl; 1 Samuel 17:25.
I was determined to solve the mental health giant in my lifetime. There had to be a way to face and overcome mental health problems.
I tried prescriptions drugs, alcohol and I even came this close to committing suicide.
Was I going to let this giant defeat me? Everytime? Was there no way I can win this battle or fight? Conquer I must! I was going to help my fellow man with overcoming this mental health giant. God is not a man that He should lie; Numbers 23:19.
Either God was lying or I was having a hard time believing. Did He not say that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me; Philippians 4:13. Then I was going to try. And tried I did; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
Say this with me! The Lord rebuke you "dark personality hiding behind my anxiety, my mind and my emotions, in Jesus's name.
I kept saying it and saying it and saying it; and praising my way through it over and over again; speaking God's word over my mind until I believe it for myself and until I felt the peace of God.
No second hand knowledge from other people about what God has done for them was going to do it for me. NO!!! I wanted my own revelation. My own testimony. I needed to know that God's word was true for me. We was going to get to the bottom of this.
I still have moments when my mental health is up under severe attacks, but I chose every day to fight back with God's word. After years of intense battle, today, I will humbly say, that with God's help, and with faith in God, I've beaten the mental health giant by saying what God's word says about me. Together we must become GIANT SLAYERS.
Say this with me: I put my armor on, I'll show you that I am... I'm unstoppable; Ephesians 6:1-18
